You never stop learning...
The Woodstock Academy. A format with rough edges. With musicians. And still a well-rounded affair. We continue our education together – a kind of further training. And it’s been like this for more than four years now. Starting in 2025, the Woodstock Academy will be held around the beautiful Lake Wolfgang – in the three towns of St. Gilgen, Strobl, and St. Wolfgang.
The Woodstock Academy is the educational format of the Woodstock of brass music and combines musical training and further education with the incomparable Woodstock feeling. At the end of October in the three towns of St. Gilgen, Strobl, and St. Wolfgang around Lake Wolfgang.
Our aim here is to combine learning and socializing. To learn the instrument better. To learn new techniques and methods.to learn new techniques and methods. To get to know musically connected people. The Woodstock Academy is for everyone. Professionals, amateurs and music enthusiasts come together here. With a safe distance, of course. Everything can, nothing must. The range of possibilities is diverse – from workshops to individual lessons, from music hikes to musicians’ get-togethers. Much is included in the basic offer, everything else can be managed in the personal timetable.
It should be cozy. It should be musical.

Multifaceted teaching
We come from the brass band scene, of course. But not only that. Folk, dance and pub music are also part of our well-saddled hobbyhorses. And with it, of course, all the instruments that are used there.
We therefore offer lessons for a total of 25 instruments or areas of interest (even pure music enthusiasm is included). In the form of individual lessons, in the form of ensemble places or in the form of band lessons.
You will be taught and supervised by renowned musicians. All of them masters of their trade. And all of them have plenty of Woodstock brass band experience on and in front of the stage. So you benefit from the best.
The modular program
In principle, the Woodstock Academy’s modular system is incredibly simple. Despite the huge range of products on offer, there are only two things that need to be distinguished.
On the one hand, there is the extensive basic offer included in your entry fee. On the other hand, there is the additional offer, which you can book as you wish for an extra charge.

The Entry fee per person without early bird discount is € 395,- (or 225,- for half a week). This includes the entire basic program, all workshops, lectures and interviews as well as our shows and concerts.
You can expand your timetable with our additional offers, which you can book as you wish. You can see the individual prices in the graphic. Accommodation and meals are not included in the price.

The entry fee per nose is € 395. This includes the entire basic program, all workshops, lectures and interviews as well as our shows and concerts.

Half week | Full offer
Not everyone has a full week to devote to music. There is a solution for this too. The half Woodstock Academy week offers the entire program, but only on three course days. In the Woodstock Academy Organizer, you can easily choose whether you want to visit us in the first or second half of the school week. Please note: The supporting program (concerts, etc.) can also only be attended during the selected half of the week!
The half week can only be booked once the timetable is online.
Academy Program
